Gridlife Laguna Festival – Records Shattered, Victory Secured
The Gridlife Laguna Festival marked a milestone moment in our 2025 season, showcasing both the progress made with the car and Luca’s relentless drive behind the wheel. Each event this year has pushed us closer to the front, and Laguna Seca proved to be the defining breakthrough.
Arriving with clear goals in mind, Luca wasted no time making an impact. With the existing RWD record set at 1:33.279 (Kal Fortner, 2023) and the overall Street Mod record at 1:31.298 (Dewey DeWitt, AWD Subaru), expectations were high. By the end of the first day, Luca stunned the field by setting a 1:31.001, comfortably eclipsing the overall record and signaling that the car had much more to give.
Fully in rhythm with the car and aided by near-perfect conditions, Luca pushed even further. Delivering one of the most dominant performances of the weekend, he dropped into the 1:30s with a 1:30.379, nearly two full seconds faster than the previous RWD benchmark. This run highlighted not just the car’s performance, but the months of trial, error, and refinement that had brought us to this point.
Entering the final day in P1 for Street Mod, the stakes couldn’t have been higher. With fierce competition in what is widely regarded as the most competitive Gridlife class, Luca knew the job wasn’t finished. Rising to the occasion once more, he sealed the weekend in spectacular fashion, setting yet another record at 1:30.369 and securing 1st place overall.
